The iceMusicFestival will be held in the iceDome at the Schnals/Senales Valley Glacier in the ski area of the same name. The Schnals/Senales Valley is located in the lower Vinschgau / Venosta Valley, 10 km from Meran/Merano. When coming from the north, cross the Brenner Pass (Bozen/Bolzano – Meran/Merano – Naturns/Naturno) or the Jaufen Pass / Passo del Monte Giovo (Passiria Valley – Meran/Merano – Naturns/Naturno.) When coming from the west, proceed via the Reschen/Resia Pass through the Vinschgau / Venosta Valley until just before Naturns/Naturno. And when coming from the south, take the Modena-Brenner autobahn / Bozen/Bolzano exit and the Bozen/Bolzano – Meran/Merano expressway. Just after or before the tunnel detour in Naturns/Naturno, you'll find the road branching off into the Schnals/Senales Valley. From there, an excellent road will take you to the hindmost part of the Schnals/Senales Valley to Kurzras / Maso Corto (2,011 meters above sea-level.) There you'll find a very modern aerial lift serving South Tyrol's only year-around ski area.The Schnals/Senales Valley can also be reached by bus. The bus runs several times a day from Meran/Merano to Kurzras / Maso Corto. In the Schnals/Senales Valley, there's a complimentary ski shuttle bus between Christmas and Easter. This bus will take you from all of the villages in the valley to the valley station of the Grawand aerial lift in Kurzras / Maso Corto.
How to get to the iceDome
By ski: you can reach the iceDome by ski from the Grawand mountain station in just a few minutes following the sign-posts. The skipass includes the admission to the concerts of the iceMusicFestival.
By foot: you can reach the iceDome by foot from the Grawand mountain station in about 20 minutes (mountaineering boots required) following the sign-posts along the slopes. To return to the Grawand mountain station you can either walk back the same route or walk to the chairlift Grawand and take the lift up to the mountain-station of the cable car. The ticket “iceMusicFestival” includes the return ticket with the cable car, the admission to the concerts and the chairlift Grawand.
